OMG... just get the S. Life is short, pony up the extra bucks if you can possibly squeeze them out and get the "S". You'll be SO glad you did. But, you're thoughts on this may be 180 degrees different than mine were when I went looking. I had to have the "S" since it was the nicest configuration of the 2012 911's with PDK. I just had to have it and also... I loved the S badging on the rear.

the S comes with options that a newbie might not know to order or that are desirable...

You better believe it does! Future resale value alone is one good reason. The last of the fastest 997 wide body cars in existence. After that, downhill for Porsche. The Spyder wheels alone are historic! All the new stuff is reminiscent of the Kardashian big booty cars. Thanks I'll pass. Wait till they get older. Nobody wants a Mack truck. Long live the 993 and 997 designs. Please don't even get me started on the 996 line.

yes, satire, love it. ditto 993 and 997. time will tell on the 991's. I enjoyed owing all three generations but when it came time to convert the 993 to a real estate asset, it was a no brainer. Giant appreciation.
