Default Hand Brake assembly

I posted it on the 997 section but I would like to try here also, anyone know the DIY to remove the hand brake assembly.
I wanted to change it to a different assembly.

While I've not done that specifically, I recently removed the center console. The e-brake is underneath there and I believe just bolts to the floor.

Search for 997 center console removal instructions -- that's what I did. It took less than an hour. There's a dozen or so screws and you have to reference the instructions.

I recall the hardest part being the initial separation of the trim around the shifter. The other stuff was pretty straight forward. Use interior removal tools and a microfiber cloth to avoid scratching anything you're prying on.

I was able to get my console out without removing the seats -- just tilt it up at the back and carefully pull it backwards and up and over the shift lever.
