Can anybody provide dyno or real world evidence that purchasing / installing a BMC Air Filter actually increased power on these 997.2 TTS's (vs. a stock filter element)??

Of course they're washable / reusable, but I would just assume stay with a factory filter if there's no actual gain.

Technically speaking, there were 4 turbos on the driveway that day.

Ha!! Yeah, you are very right!! Wished I could have kept both...

I pick up my 997.2TTS in the morning from the dealer after having the 6 year service done. (Plugs, Coils, Drive Belt, Oil & Filter, AWD controller oil changed, Fuel additive & Ethanol defense, AC system cleaned / recharged, wipers, etc.) Also having my passenger sport adaptive seat bolster problem fixed. Fidelity warranty is covering it, so that's a relief. Parts had to be ordered from Germany, so I have to go back to have them installed.

Also had my new front spoiler lip installed. The original one had the normal scrapes and the start of the split in the middle that they all do eventually. I'd already bought it a while back.

This thing should be Golden for a WHILE after this service. I did the PDK service back in Aug. of last year, so there's not much else to do other than drive it!

Took a drive to the mountains the week before I took it in for service. Great day, but unfortunately my buddy lost control of his Boxster avoiding a dear and went off road and jacked up the front end. Ins. totaled it for him. He's bummed.

Pics were just prior to that. My car was DIRTY!!! That's why I love Silver though. Still looks kinda clean.

Hoping you or someone might know this. Can a front axle lift be added to 997s?

Great seeing you enjoying your TTS, I still feel nostalgic about my former one. Best of all worlds, 997 classic looks with all the modern improvements (PDK, PTV, etc) and more power than you know what to do with.

The Macan always impresses me. Great car, if they were less expensive used, it would make a great deal. Just would need to deal with the maintenance of paying for Porsche parts.

Thank you and agreed! Still want a 991 TTS but this one fits the bill for me for now (prob. for a long while to come).

Agreed. I would consider one also as a daily, but you're right about the parts cost.

I had a passenger side bolster issue. It turned out one of my Gym buddies who drinks Oxandrolone in large doses, broke the switch. What happened was he was adjusting the side bolsteres and he accidentally pushed in the on position. Next week I went to start my car and it was dead. Charged up the battery and a coule if days later dead again. It was the air pump motor which ran until it just melted. $234 and about two hours work. He’s about your size also.

Interesting... They said mine was a short somewhere and another part... I'll have to screenshot the bill and post it.
