this is the biggest issue imo, especially on the street.
sound will obviously be the second biggest issue, and no turbo car can compete with that NA wail. the linearity of the power delivery in the NA cars and the overall feel is really special/perfect imo. but they are significantly slower than the turbo cars, its a tough decision if you're using them 100% on the street. the power and torque is intoxicating and tough to forgo if you're used to it.

Every time I get in the GT3RS at the track I want to buy one but then I drive home in my Turbo and think to myself how much of a beast it is with all that torque. I know it's not a GT2 but I can imagine what a track oriented Turbo would feel like. Love the RS high RPM wail on the street and don't miss the Turbo, that is until I get back in the Turbo. I think you really need both and a CGT.

^ im in the exact same boat. every time i drive a GT car i want to head to the nearest dealer and trade my Turbo in. then i get back in my Turbo and it's like "what was i thinking?" very tough call, i know the GT cars are more 'special' etc and we all know their strengths but there is something to be said for that feeling of omnipotence/outright power on the street. i go karting for track thrills so i look at this problem strictly through the lens of street usage.

My 1 of 1 PTS 997.2 RS will be listed by Porsche North Houston soon if you are looking for something unique.

On a serious note, two Mondays ago I started in FL, then Houston and then LA the same day to see 3 cars. I saw your 4.0 at N. Houston and it looked great, and great staff. Congratulations.

Vesuvio chicken? haha I'll have to google to see what that looks like. Thanks, the 4.0 was the only car other than a CGT that I would let my PTS unicorn go for. Looks sinister in black but I know how much work black cars are to keep clean and looking good.

I'm a little late to this discussion but had to comment. I have owned 3 .2 RS's and put 1k in the 4.0 RS on the track. I would put the .2 RS as one of my top 5 cars in the world and just love it as I am a NA guy from an overall emotive experience. That being said, the GT2 blew me away with the power and overall GT capability. This particular one has the RS single mass flywheel so it sounds very similar to the RS at idle and has some great mechanical noises. It will never be an RS in sound and being able to modulate and control the car with the throttle but wow, is it a blast to drive. What you give up in sound and rawness, you gain in power and overall drivability. It's also wonderfully edgy which is so refreshing as compared with all the new 991 variants as even the manuals in those cars are too refined. I don't think you can have gear shift assist button and still call it a real manual, it's good but still cheating and takes away the best part of driving a manual and that is to be able to rev match and heel toe properly.
Also, the GT2 is a better car from a collectibility standpoint hands down as I see it every day in my business. Ideally, you would want to own both but for me if the majority of my time keeps me away from the track, it would likely be the GT2, which shocks me to say. Throw the 4.0 into the mix and it would have to be the 4.0 but with all factors considered and if you weren't going to the track with it frequently, the GT2 is just hard to beat.

Not a financial advisor here so not gonna comment on investment values. That's for your banker with the fancy CFAs MBAs CPAs.
Those with a lot of seat time in both will tell you they're two very different cars. The 2 can be driven in 2nd and 3rd gear around town all day. The 3 will feel anemic if you just stepped in from the other car but it rewards you with a soundtrack like no other.
Stock the GT2 is actually very docile. It's a tourer *very* removed from the its 993 roots. To be within a mile of "raw" you'll need a LWFW, exhaust and a chip. The 3 is more "there" out of the box. Chassis wise the 7.2 RS is almost identical to the GT3. I can tell you they behave the same way on track outside of the obviously different powertrains.
In the end you're asking a fundamental question only you can answer. What do you want with the car. To talk $ with this car crowd (myself included) is bollocks.
