Thanks Mooty....

I spent a decade in So Cal eating fish tacos under the HB pier! I also work for Bell helmets so I get to Scotts Valley fairly often. I was just there last week and paid a visit to Canepa. Although I didn't see any of your cars in there . I am very aware of your beloved Norcal! I swear you guys don't even know there are states east of your border

OK - Since Im in Lost Angeles, and water from the sky really isn't a thing here, I'm going Cups 2.

How do they compare to the PSS in terms of time to heat up?

You will love them. Monster improvement over the PSS. They ride well and grip like stink. Others know more than I but they heat up pretty quick and I know they last really well when in a specific temp range. Too much PSi and they don't like it. Others will chime in I'm sure...

Bridgestone RE-71R would be a great tire for your needs.

The PS4’S are the best of both worlds. They favor the street. But if you are a 90% or more street car the answer is clear. I just put them on my GT2 AND REALLY LIKE THEM

I love the PS4S. Work great in dry and wet and grip is good. Haven't tracked them

At the Smokies in the wet some on cup 2s were sliding a bit and PS4 no issues. Ymmv

i just bought Cup 2's. I've used them in the past and they are superb. I going to forgoe the all around better PS4's this time. I may regret it. I'll wait to see what others report back...

I have PS4 on the cab and they do have a big wife guard around the id of the tire to protect the rim, the cup2's do not so they are off limits to the wife.

Agree the PS4 are great on the street, not so much on the track. Much like PSS, they get pretty greasy after 15 minutes of hard driving. It was pretty easy to tell when the run was half over, car started sliding. But I love them on street and fantastic in wet.

For the street I don't hear anyone recommending the Michelin Pilot sport Ps2. Its N rated and an OEM porsche tire.

because they are superseded by both the MPSS and now the MPS4S... certainly in 997 and 991 fitments...

Yeah - the MPSS is cheaper, lasts longer, and handles better than the PS2 . I thought they were a fairly good improvement over the PS2's
