Can someone eyeball an RS for me in Columbus, OH?
Byers Imports has a white/red 997.2 RS. Anyone local that can take a look at it for me? Don't need a test drive, just a once over for cosmetics. Will get a formal PPI if I move forward. Thanks.

There pictures would show the car much better if it did not include the one of the key in the ignition with ten thousand other keys on the key ring .
That aside good looking car at first glance. Would expect some serious track miles with the set up

It has seen track time. How much? Who knows. Dealers always downplay it, but I will never take their word for it. DME shows range 1 and 2 overrevs, nothing in 3-6.

Yes, first registered in Canada. But it has been owned/titled in the US, so no worries about getting a US reg. Only thing that bothers me about Canadian cars is having to pay the 2.8% import duty, which I obviously wouldn't have to do with this one.

Generally, collectors care about spec and are agnostic where the car is or where it came from because they won't be driving it.
Drivers care of course where a car is from because they have to deal with logistics and dmv etc. All North American spec cars have the emissions and crash standards. This was not the case a long time ago, which is where the misconceptions are born.

Let me rephrase, most gt3 rs on the market right now have a story, thus this is one reason why they are not selling. Now if you can get one cheap enough to just drive then the story doesn't matter

Could you be more specific about its 'average-ness'?

Prefer slotted over drilled. What's ugly about the rollbar? Center console, up to personal taste. But absolutely agree on the drilled bumper. Still boggles my mind why someone would do this.

I didnt give it a thorough pat down but headlights looked a bit hazy /pitted...just didnt have the pop of a garage queen.
Reminds me of a hottie that partied all night, slept on the floor for 2 hours then woke
Up hastily to get to work and quickly applied makeup and brushed her hair. Gets to work and looks like a messy hottie.
If i get to their cars and coffee this weekend i can examine closer.
Fwiw, they (byers) price high but often sell much lower. Throw a number out and see if sticks.
