That's not good if the engines are blowing up. Haven't heard about that.
Can you please attach the video/videos?

I have not seen any video, iirc it was Jack Baruth at Road & Track. The first GT350 press car Ford sent blew up doing a burnout or something for the cover shot. Ford then provided another which also blew up. I don't recall exactly what happened but, regardless, it wasn't positive.

Ok,
Maybe they fixed the early issues then. I've only heard about the oil filter issue. All owners have received a special tool to securely torque the filter. I got mine a couple of weeks ago.

I DD the gt350 and it works very well as a every day vehicle. Been holding up fine for a few track days at Sebring. I'm not the fastest guy there but still a sub 2.30 car in my hands.
If BMW would've offered a high revving v8 for $50-60k I would have bought that instead.

Edit, like someone mentioned before, if I could only own 1 car and budget is $60k I would buy the gt350.
Maybe not the best compliment to a 997gt3. They run similar lap times and the gt350 is a better DD.
If budget is $100k I would always buy 997gt3.

Also not sure about engines after hearing about them blowing up in the magazine shoots. Can't recall if it was Motor Trend or Road & Track.

M2 w/ KW CS, Carbotech xp12/10 Pads Re71r tires (all 3 days below on same set) not bad times for coilovers, tires and pads)

Buttonwillow C13 - 1:57:2
Auto Club Speedway - 1:49:6
Willow Springs (Big) - 1:30:6

Car is fun! Engine is a bit dull in terms of aural excitement and feedback but playful on track. ill just put this here for fun. Don't take it too serious (passing some gt3's & caymans)

Good luck with your decision. That price range is a fun area to chase cars. So many fun cars to choose from.
