Anyone try rebuilding our OEM shock recently?
There are no new OEM gt3 shocks avail in the USA currently.

I looked into it in 2019. I had Glen Yee Motorsports inspect the coilovers and they deemed them good. While I was doing that, I had assumed that I would need them rebuilt and read this thread + even contacted bilstein just to see. My results with bilstein were the same as above...but they are really nice!! The only company I ended up talking to that were willing to do the work was Feal (https://fealsuspensionstore.com/) but my search wasn't exhaustive. Once I found out my shocks were good to go, I got them installed and dialed in and just drive on them since with no issues. My worry about all this is what Tom says above—not even Glenn Yee's shop had a shock dyno set up to check the PASM through something like the DSC. They can do all the inspections and etc. just fine but they cannot check stuff in the way Tom describes above. I am not sure if Feal can do this or does it.

Strange that Bilstein doesn't have a rebuild service in the US any longer, such a big market. In the UK, Bilstein has a dedicated service center which charges about $150 per shock, complete tear down and return to factory spec… or specify custom valving. Turnaround is about two weeks.

I had bilstein rebuild a set of x73 dampers years ago. very reasonable.
They don’t do it anymore.
