Nostalgia Cars (Gen X Folks)
So making the leap to adulthood and leaving the city to the burbs. Upside is now I have space for 6 cars (3 spots taken, 2 others in progress so one left)!
So got me to thinking about cars from my youth and deciding to buy one to just admire basically (or swap between this and RS for sunday morning drives).
Criteria are (1) something I pined for (or owned) when I was younger and (2) something that isnt a depreciating hole in the ground, but also has a little bit of room to actually drive (and not completely mothball) - think 1-2k miles a year, and (3) fun to drive!
Cars on my list thus far:
1. 1980s Ferrari 308 GTS
2. 1999 Acura Integra Type R
3. 2005 WRX STi
4. Supra
5. Early 90s NSX (mid-mile car)
Thoughts? I considered e30, e36, e46 M3s but had some of those and am over that now

I think your on track with a Ferrari, but having some time in a 308 GTSi I think you will be left wanting as far as fun to drive. It is ideal for putzing around town and looking at. If it were me I would be seriously looking at a Testarossa. I had a poster of one up on my wall as a kid. Plus they have so much presence, especially from the rear.

How about something totally different.
1. late 60's/early 70's Pontiac GTO
2. late 60's/early 70's Camaro
3. late 60's/early 70's Firebird
4. late 60's/early 70's Cuda
or maybe a beautiful roadster like an late 50's MGA

I personally have to vote for the Supra..........
I've owned three Supra's in my lifetime and I hope to find a bone stock Supra for the future. These cars in stock form are commanding some good prices.

I owned a '87 944 Turbo back in the day and remember lusting after the '88 Turbo S and the mechanically identical '89 Turbo. I'd love to pick up a Silver Rose Metallic Turbo S with the plaid interior.

Integra Type R. Very hard to find unmodded versions but much more fun to wind out on the street than some of the other contenders. gearing is so close you'll be in 4th before you're out of the Home Depot parking lot.
And VTEC is the real deal yo!
