997.2 GT3 Emissions Readiness Problems
#16
hum... well you said it ... Champion Porsche ... this dealership never gave me good impressions. Not that I had issues with them but you know there are places where you don't have a feel for it. And this one is one of them. Again that is just a personal opinion. Make your own

Everything was fine with Champion as far as my experience. I don't know what CPO requires as far as an advance emissions check or what. Florida doesn't have emissions so I don't see how they would've done that anyways.

Also turns out the car has:
(figured) Gt3 4.0 Flywheel (this is the light weight flywheel you hear)
60/40 Guards Differential
Welded Water fitting

Full monoball suspension and adjustable links
(knew) GMG front dive planes
Replaced first and second gear synchro with steel cup synchro's
(suspected) RS rear gearing
Front and rear tie down hooks (Rennline)

Nice! Here's a simple test to find out if you have stock or RS rear axle. If you can hit 85mph in 2nd gear you're stock. If you're redlining at "only" around 75 then you have the RS rear axle.

Good for me, I hate long gearing! The gearing in this one is awesome. Love it.

That's my hope
Not a clue. But I have to wonder...does that technically mean my built transmission is now warrantied?

Do you have a 'generic' odbii reader that shows the indicators and their state? (and if they are disabled or not?) there are about 10 standard readiness indicators, not all are enabled by the factory. I think its 6 or so on our cars.
I have a cheap harbor freight reader that shows this exactly and exactly which one is not set yet.
This makes it easy to know what you need to do to get set. And, one of them took a LONG time to set on my car last time around.
