yeah its not a bad idea at all. and when it's HOT out it's really more necessary to help the motor cope with the heat.

The 76 in Auburn is a bit far away, but do stop by there once in awhile, but usually just before track days.
Is there another station closer to The Ridge that has E0 that anyone knows of?

76 sells 100 octane VP unleaded at the pump all over the place. there are 2 near me in LA (lucky me).
nothing you buy at a normal gas station will have lead and is therefore safe to use in any car.
makes minimal difference in my gt3's NA motor but a huge difference in my turbo. you can feel the additional power all throughout the band and it runs smoother at high rpm's. much more low and mid torque.

Anyone know of hot gas in Portland beyond PIR? My home in SanJose has a neighborhood 76 with 101 at the pump- I was spoiled... as was the 6TT!

Instead of guessing, why not log your knock retard on 93. If the car pulls timing, then start adding 100 octane until it doesn't any longer. Obviously add more when its very hot out.
If the car doesn't pull more than 1 or 2 degrees of timing, I'd say the extra cost of the 100 octane would be a waste.
