Default Question for those with cup electric steering pump

For those of you that have retrofitted the cup electric steering pump, where did you find the new idler pulley and belt to replace the pump pulley on the engine. I know gsr autosport used to sell it but they have been out of business so seeing where else it can be obtained from.

I have AC though and want to retain that. So I'm not sure if it's the same since cup cars don't come with AC

Did they mount it just at the bottom of the frunk or did you put it somewhere else

I just got the electric pump myself, would appreciate if you could update where you find this stuff... and I'll do the same if I find it before you

Sunset Porsche (Luke) or Rothsport (Jeff) can help you out. Here are the part numbers that I used recently but I don't have A/C anymore either

Yeah, it mounted it on the bottom of the frunk. They took out the power steering pump off the engine and all the lines which saved like 30-40 lbs.

I didn't need an additional idler, the AC pulley makes it so you don't, if memory serves...

Just curious, how did you come up with 30-40lbs? The engine PS pump weighs 5lbs give or take, 2lbs or so for the reservoir and maybe another 5lbs for the lines. Did you physically weigh what was removed from the car?

It was an estimate from BBI from the removed power steering pump, pulley, and power steering lines.

Gotcha, thank you. No way it's even close to that much. I would take estimates with a grain of salt. I remember when guys used to claim a sunroof delete was worth 50-60lbs when in reality after I weighed all the pieces that went out and in, the net savings was a little over 20 lbs.

This mod is really not about weight savings as what you put back in is likely going to be a wash. It would be nice to actually have someone accurately weigh everything that's removed and put back in to get an exact number.
