As you all know the front end of the 911 is where the car needs more "bite". Therefore i acquired a Grand Am splitter. I spoke to two race shops and they both told me the splitter would not work, that i needed to buy the Grand Am bumper. I decided to purchase the splitter and take a look before considering buying the Grand Am bumper. I purchased the splitter and right off the batt the shape and form were the same. Looking at the splitter i knew i had to make the "teeth" on the edge where the OEM splitters clip in. I put the bumper on top of the splitter and realised besides that, all i had to do was modify a 4x6 inche area towards the edge of the splitter for the oem bumper to fit. I cut that area on the splitter ( or you can cut it off your bumper) . The plan was to cut that area off, insert the bumper, put it on the car, then lay carbon on the area cut, and make it flush with the fender liners.
IT started off as a plan. Then finally executed and finished this weekend. Lastly, i have been trying to buy a Gurney from GMG, however no response to my emails or return to my calls, so i decided to make one. Will be testing at BW next week both new parts. From my prior experience doing this on my 996 turbo, it really transformed the front end of the car in terms of feel/ direction / confidence and grip. Hoping for the same on the 997 gt3. Lastly, since the car inherently pushes, and with a gurney at the rear - i'm thinking this will be much more balance. Will play with swaybar settings if need to.

Great job! I've been considering a gurney flap too, but can't find any for sale either...

Well done, but..that guerney seems massive, difficult to know how to balance front and rear without a wind tunnel.. You can end up with worse results than stock. The highest impact on downforce for the 991 GT3RS were the front fender louvers, ducting and rake .. typically front/rear downforce is 1:2 or 1:3, if you want more overall downforce you have to work on the front most importantly, or you might end up with an understeering car here.

Try Orbit like bmwtye stated. You have an RS correct ? I believe that one is relatively simple as it's straight if IRCC. If still can't find one, email me and i can talk you how to make a gurney. If it's straight, it will be very easy. If curved a bit of a challenge if you're new to it.

This gurney is 14mm height.
The wing foil is 267 mm in length. Ideally gurney is to be 1 to 5% of wing foil

267*.01 = 2.67mm smallest
267*.05 = 13.5mm tallest

Agree, working on the front mostly! If the gurney is too much at the rear i can always remove. I'll find out shortly.

I had CF Gurney on the RS from Orbit.
I think it's smaller than you want it to be though.
