Update: I sold both M3s within 2 weeks and both to GT3 owners to boot. The Dakar went to a forum member here and he is happily enjoying it as we speak.

Found a .1 GT3 out in Oregon and bought it. The car is currently in transport across the country to me in PA. I found an incredible one man trucking company and he has been sending me updates along the way. Car is currently in Idaho.

Congrats on the new acquisition!

It will change your life - in a good way. And will likely be a great long-term investment as well since the 997.1 versions are the last of the analog GT3's.

To the OP, congrats on the purchase! It feels nice to move cars quickly and get on with life!

Good thing it was still under warranty! Do you still have your F80?

Wow... That was a quick turnaround. You will love the car. Every time you turn the key you will be in heaven. The first time you get over 5k and hear the engine scream is an experience you will never forget. Get a center bypass if your car doesn't come with one. They come up used all the time. Can't wait to see more pictures. Welcome to the club and won't be your last 911. I give you less than 1 year before you buy another 911 model to go with your Gt3. Congrads!!!

Congrats, the GT3 is a big upgrade from the E46 and huge upgrade from the E36. White 997.1 is timeless.

Default Kept the E46, picked up a GT3!

Great set of choices, no wrong answers!

I kept the E46 M3 (cabrio) and picked up a .2 GT3 to use as a DD and occasionally on track. The GT3 is phenomenal on track, so much grip, such great steering feel and endless braking. As a DD the engine is so flingable, love the sport exhaust, there are no routine trips.

When the sun is up and I feel a bit less intense, driving the E46 is still a dream, definitely softer than the GT3, very linear steering, more grip than you can use on the road, the rip of the inline 6 and wind in the hair, hard not to love life.

If you're a visceral/mechanical person, you will love the GT3 every time you drive it, never a dull moment. Enjoy!

^^^ Cinnamon interior. Classic!

One year, I fell in love with a Laguna Seca Blue E46 M3 with silver BBS CH wheels. Such a good looking car.

Got the car late last night! The condition and overall presence of the car is incredible in person. Took the car out for about 30 minutes and absolutely love it. I love the way the car sounds in sport mode past 4k RPMs. I have an RSS bypass ready to go on but plan to drive around a little more with stock center section just to get a real good feel for the sound before the bypass.

Are your coolant lines pinned/welded?

The lines are not pinned/welded. I plan to do them and 4.0 clutch/flywheel next year.
