Default Bay Area Upholstry shops for GT2 Seats

Hi everyone,

looking for recommendations for good upholstry shops in the Bay Area, Ca. The leather where my head rests got a little scuffed up and pulled out from the plastic trim (I think from my Hans Device that I wear when I track the car) so is starting to wrinkle.

It isn't bad right now, but I want to get it "fixed" so it doesn't get worse if it keeps getting pulled out/etc

Cook's in Redwood City (ECR & Woodside Rd.) replaced a panel on my '88 3.2 seat back a few years ago and was a perfect match! Went by there recently and looked pretty crowded with three businesses appeared to be operating out of the same property. "Crazy Eddie" had some custom work done at another store and it was "top drawer". Might want to check in with him.

Check out TriValley Auto Interiors on Old Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton CA.

I've used the place now twice for my Boxster. Some years ago I had them replace the plastic rear window in my Boxster then more recently the entire top.

So far no need to have any interior work done but they do it and based on my 2nd hand info do a very good job of it.

If I ever need any upholstery work in my Boxster or 996 Turbo that's where I'm going.

Here is yseany's official thread. His email is in here somewhere too. I have the same headrest and bolster protectors. They are designed very well and fit like a glove. The elastic bands that hold the bolster protectors on are cheap and do not attach to the protectors well but you can rig it fine with some work.

A friend went through two sets of grills on his 997.2 GT3 RS.

I would be very interested in something to protect the headrest and exposed CF on my buckets.
