BBi Autosport Porsche 997.2 GT3 Turbo Billet Aluminum Coolant Pipe Kit

As the best preventative fix/solution for this problem, BBi Autosport offers replacement billet aluminum coolant pipes to be permanently welded. Compared to the factory fittings, the replacement BBi billet fittings offers superior metallurgy to allow stronger, higher quality welds. We offer this complete service at our facility in Southern California from start to finish. For clients that are not local, we sell the billet aluminum pipe kit separately and also work with many Porsche dealerships and shops throughout the US to have the parts shipped to us for the welding service.

Despite this being the best solution for the problem, the biggest caveat is being able to properly weld the fittings as it requires extensive surface preparation and welding skills. Our team carefully removes the engine, disassembles the necessary components, and then thoroughly cleans them in our ultrasonic cleaner to ensure that it can be properly welded. Afterwards, our in-house fabrication department meticulously weld each replacement pipe and then our technicians pressure test each set for for leaks prior to reinstalling the engine or ship out the parts. Here are pictures of the kit and the process

It's great to see these center lock E88s being put to good use. The build looks great fellas (especially in the few rolling shots posted on social media!).

Torco SR-5R Group IV/V 100% Synthetic Engine Oil. SAE 5W-40

Since this car is extensively modified and pushed hard on the track, we used Torco SR-R5 motor oil instead of the factory fill Mobil 1 for improved performance and protection.

Spark Plugs

BMC High Flow Filter

To help the engine breathe a little easier, we upgraded to the BMC F1 Replacement Air Filter. Compared to the restrictive factory filter, itis made of a washable cotton material that provides nearly 40% greater airflow than paper, enclosed in an alloy mesh screen which helps the filter keep its shape and protects against larger debris and dirt. The increased flow of air through the filter provides a steady stream of clean air to the engine, resulting in much more consistent and efficient power.

Next we remove the OEM front end to install the Cup version and then take a look at the suspension and brakes that we will be also replcing.

Front End

Worn brakes pads and rotors

Rear

Cup Fenders to clear the new wide wheels and tires. Given the rising value of the car and costs of the OEM parts, storing the OEM parts and replacing it with the Cup ones makes the most sense.
