2011 GT3 RS Grey Black with Modesta Coating
I thought I would post these 2 photos of my 2011 GT3 RS which recently had a new clear bra as well as Modesta Coating installed by Modern Image in San Diego. While I think the photos look great, it looks even better in person! I took it to La Jolla Cars and Coffee today after picking it up at Modern Image and I couldn't stop looking at the car even though I own it! I am fanatical about keeping the RS clean anyway but it really looks stunning with the Modesta Coating and new clear bra.
I am the original owner and love this car more and more every day! I also own a 991 GT3, and while the 991 GT3 is an amazing 911, it does not have soul like my GT3 RS. That may sound strange but I think if you have driven both, you probably know what I mean. I can't believe I will have owned this car 6 years next January. My RS has got better and better with age. I wish I could say the same for me!

Glad you know what I mean. :-) and thank you! For the first week after I bought it in 2011, I had buyers remorse as it wasn't the smartest financial purchase at the time but since then I have never looked back.

Thank you for the kind comment. I don't mean to compare them so much as they are very different and stunning in their own way. I love them both equally and give them equal time. They are staggering in every way. They both give me a huge smile. But the rawness of the GT3 RS and the analogue nature of the car along with the rareity, and the unapologetic scream of the flatsix elevates the driving experience to one which is very special indeed. Quite frankly, I am addicted to the. RS. And the prescription for rehab requires driving it more and more!

Thank you very much for your kind words. I had never been to C&C at La Jolla and was very impressed. Beautiful cars on display and a great atmosphere and very nice people. I was glad I was able to display it after all the detailing. Of course the fun part of the day was driving it back in to the hills of East County on some twisty roads. Exhilarating!

I am not sure how many RS owners are first owners of the car. I was fortunate when I bought mine in January 2011. Some dealers had 2 cars for sale and they weren't moving that well. I ended up getting several thousand of MSRP which I couldn't imagine now. I have done everything by the book and serviced it exactly as required. I haven't had any issues with it at all and like you I can't wait to drive mine everytime. It is an engineering and artistic masterpiece.

I see them occasionally bopping around RSF, CA.
