Hello All,

Picked up a Aqua Blue 997.2 GT3RS that everyone's been passing on since it was a dealer buyback. I called around a bunch (Livermore Porsche, Porsche NA, etc) and no one could tell me anything about it. Even the carfax says "Car dies while driving". Seems like the previous person just couldn't afford it.

Only thing wrong with the car now is that the car wont engage from 3rd to 2nd without rev matching. That is being fixed at the dealership right now.

Got a great price because of the history of the vehicle but the PPI and my test drive was perfect. So fingers crossed I just got a drivers vehicle I can enjoy forever. No plans to sell the car at all. Very excited, its my first Porsche and hopefully not my last. I got an order in on a 911r but the chances of that happening are -847%

Congrats! Hope it's fixed soon, have them check the LSD while you have the gearbox apart. See you're local, let's go for a drive once the car is put together.

Nope, no cage but I think I might put in a red OEM one. Not sure how much that would cost.

Yeah good point. Would love to set up a drive. What part of NJ / NYC are you from? I live in Manhattan but keep the cars in Englewood, NJ

Yeah that jerk. Although I dont think its going to be the last time hes going to be putting miles on it. I have a suspicion hes going to be driving mine more than he does his. I'm going to have to keep a close eye on my exhaust as well, I think he really likes it and I wouldnt be surprised if he did a midnight swap

Keep me posted on a Bear Mountain drive post Memorial Day. RS is back from six week trip to the detailer. I'm also in Manhattan but cars live in our garage in NNJ.
