no need for a 991GT3 and 991RS in the garage.

Ditch the 991GT3 and Go get yourself into a 997RS. Park it next to your 997GT2.

Nice garage!

In a perfect world, I would keep everything I have and add more. I understand where you are coming from mooty with having too many cars all serving relatively similar purposes. You cannot deny that it would be pretty satisfying to have them all though.

Unfortunately there is limited space. A 4.0 would be the best to add but there are only 5 in the country so that could be a bit of a challenge.

I have the solution mooty-

I drive whatever has fresh tires and is properly serviced and ready to go.

Gt4 has no tires left? Ok take viper.
Viper ran out of brakes? Okay 675LT.
Oh it's a porsche event? i'll bring a 3RS...

all are set up for me
so they were all ready to go ugh....

i got lazy to the point that i line up my wheels in wheel bags. now i ride on road only. if i get a flat, i dont even bother fixing them. call home, wife will drive the bag to me. i just eat power bar on the street and wait for the support vehicle hahaha.

but, yes, if u can, get them all and pls invite me over to drool

This is my wife's plan when it comes to gas.

I'll be home from China on Monday. Have been traveling for 3 weeks. I can guarantee her X5m, my raptor and my 993tt will all be out of gas....

I just got mine delivered today. I would recommend to you to get the 997 RS.

Why? Because its an RS.

To the OP, if you are in JHB you might be a tad disappointed with the straight line performance of the 7.1 RS, especially compared with your turbos and 500+ bhp NA cars in your garage. Shortening the final drive might help, or maybe try a 7.2RS. Drive them both and make up your mind.
For those not familiar, Jo'burg is about 6k feet above sea level so most NA cars lose 15% of their quoted power.

That is a very valid consideration. I actually had a 997.2 GT3 that I sold to get into a 458 Italia. At the time, it seemed like the right thing to do. Then the 991 GT3 came out and went up in flames and I was smitten with my 458.

After a while, I saw a used 991 GT3 on the floor at the dealership and fell in love. I had to have it. Getting back into the GT3 made me realise how much I missed my old one. Missed that manual engagement, the feel of the hydraulic steering and the roar of the Mezger.

So basically, this car is more about the feel. More about what I used to know and love. The 997.1 RS that I was going to leap at actually has some minor accident damage and that has put me off. It obviously wasn't meant to be. :thumb up:

The wait continues
