997.1 GT3 RS Opinion
Hello everyone,
So, I've just been given the chance to buy a 997.1 GT3 RS. I currently have a 997 GT2 and the 991 GT3 and RS. I've been on the lookout for the 997.2 RS for a while now (to no avail) and wasn't expecting to get this call.
I don't think I'll be able to afford them all. Thinking of trading the 991 GT3 on the 997.1 RS. What would you guys do?
Thanks in advance

991's will be around and available if you change you mind after the RS, same is not true of passing on the RS.

Thats what i did, traded my 991 GT3 to a .2 RS. Not sure if i
made the right choice but i can buy another GT3 anytime. But the 997 RS, is about timing. If you can get a nice example, then its a good trade. Trade wisely though, its a 7-8 year old car, while the 991 is an excellent car in it self.

The 997 RS is silver with orange rims and decals. I'm told that it is a clean car and has 20000kms (roughly 12500 miles). It seems there is consensus that the 7RS is the one to have.
I had a 997.2 GT3 and I absolutely loved it. The engagement of the manual and the roar of the Mezger, it truly is something quite spectacular.
To CJ, all are fun cars that I use on weekends, track and during the week as a daily if I feel like it
Thanks guys for all the input - going to see if I can get the car checked out by Porsche and make sure everything is in order and if so, jump on it! I really appreciate it.

next time u in town, let's get together. we can have a major philosophical discussion on this.....
having one of everything is romantic. but not really...
i can't afford all the RS ever made. but at one point when i was not fat and raced MTB i was able to have 20+ hi end MTB ($10-$12k each, this was in the 90's, so 10k was a lot more money than it is today. dont ask, i was at CAL i sold grass to earn money, i cleaned up)... some are good for soft terrain, some are good for hardpack, some are all around, some are good for descend some are good for climb etc etc. i had everything. then the problem was to decide what to ride. there were times i drive several bikes to the trail, or have team mates drive my bikes and locate them at different parts of the trail so i wold do 40+ miles on 4-6 bikes and put together the DREAM RIDE. it was cool for a while. then it became work. i THOUGHT more about riding than actual RIDING.
maybe you will be more successful than i in resolving that issue ;-)
