You really can't go wrong. Both will hold value given they are both mezger engines and manual. I find the GT3 to be more fun than the turbo. That would be my vote.

In my opinion, from a money POV, the smart dollar is on the 997 Turbo. Undervalued, and enough units to find the right one at the right price. Buy well and value will hold or increase. On the other hand, 997 GT3 variant values will plummet once 991 GT3 stick models are introduced.

All IMO of course. Yours may vary.
What we need to look at is the 996TT values. they have started to climb over the last year or so. that has kept the 997TT values pretty consistent. the 997.1 is also valued close to the 997.2 (even if older) because of the motor/transmission combo is more desired.
I agree the 997.1TT is a good value, likely will still dip a bit more as I've started to see some cars go below $60K with higher mileage but the clean ones stay over 80K.

My opinion is also the 991GT3 manual cars won't impact the 997GT3s, the GT4 was the one that would have done that. the 991.2 GT3 is just a different animal and price point.

I agree, wont let go of my manual 997.1TT for anything less than $85k (10k miles) still smells like new. For the $$ cant get anything better.
