Default My GT3

Hi,

My name is Carlo and I purchased my .2 GT3 about 1.5 years ago. My GT3 is my first Porsche and I could not be any happier with it. I purchased the car with intention for it to be a weekend toy that will see some track time. I've typically done trackdays on my track Ducati 749R and figured a GT3 would be a great compliment to my bike. I've done two track days so far with my GT3 at Sonoma and Laguna and the car is fantastic on track as many of you know. The car spent some time at SPMotorsports this winter to get it ready for the upcoming season and figured I'd post some pics now that I have the car back.

Some highlights of the work done include GMG bypass, TPC DSC, coolant pipes pinned with BBI inserts, Guard LSD rebuild, RSS rear toe links, 19 in HRE classic 300 wheels with MPSS (street setup), 18in BBS E07 wheels with NTO1 (track setup), BBI roll bar, Schroth harness, cup caliper studs, Endless ME20 pads, cup lip, cf interior bits, alignment, corner weight, lowered to euro ride height, and rewrapped OEM steering wheel with thicker alcantara, red deviated stitching, and red band. I'm hoping to do the cup shifter/cables in the near future and I think i'll be done. I know I know, you can never truly be done with modifications, but for the sake of my wallet I hope the car will be "done" after the shifter/cables

Hope you guys enjoy the pics and looking forward to meeting the Norcal folks at Mooty's trackday in June!

Red ones are the fastest! What tire sizes do you run with the 18" wheels? Love the look!

Nice work on the mods, especially pinning the coolant pipes.

Where did you have the steering wheel redone? About the only thing I dislike on the GT3 is the way the steering wheel feels.

That is so not fair. I scoured the earth for a red one for over a year. Red rocks.

Ivan at DCT Motorsports in Santa Clara, CA redid my steering wheel.

Beautiful car and love the HRE wheels. Saw your car in person at Mooty's "garage", and was staring at your wheels. If you ever want to part with them, let me know
I'll come by to say hi at Mooty's private day, I'll be in the silver 997.1 GT3
