Bespoke Bugatti Chiron Sport Cup 2:

apparently the Chiron rear wheel diameter is 21" ...

I just measured the tread depth on the SuperSports on our GT3, with now right at 10 K miles on them, at 9/32 all around. You can't find a better tire that wears so well for the price than the MPSS tires. I had run the pricier PS2's on several cars before, and found them "greasy" on my Superformance Cobra replica at VIR.

i wonder if they still will have the duel compound on this tire? The MPSS has a "softer" treadwear on the outter row/block. I'm very happy with MPSS as a street tire, not happy with them on track, they get slick/greasy too fast.

Confirmed they in fact are 345/25/21. I've known Michelin to do R&D for new models on current release supercars.

For example, the early 2009 Ferrari 458 Italian wore "Michelin Pilot Sport PS2" that were in fact Pilot Super Sports. Car & Driver did a small writeup on this in their 10 best summer tires in 2010 I believe.

Anyways, they had them labeled as PS2 and treadwear at 220, despite the new SS being rated at 300.

So it wouldn't surprise me if they were doing trial testing under the new PS4 S moniker. I suppose only time will tell..

Additionally, this tire is a ZP variant, runflat. Traditionally, only BMW and Corvette have used summer runflats from Michelin, with heavy emphasis on Corvette. This could be symbolic of a new release from a skunkwerks development project from either of these manufacturers.

Talking to Michelin rep during werks reunion and he confirmed the new tire will be called "PS4S" and will be out in spring. It will be replacing pss. He said the performance of the ps4s is so good it's nearly sport cup 2 performance and because of it they are going to have to do a new sport cup.

It would be nice to have a comparison chart of accepted tires for the GT3-
