Default Am I crazy?

In need of some advice, my latest thought has been around consolidating cars and getting something that services as an ostentatious daily driver.

So, that means selling my 997.2 GT3, as well as M3 which currently is the spring-fall daily.

My thoughts are largely around getting a car I have wanted for awhile now - Merc. CLK 63 AMG Black series.

Am I crazy for considering selling the GT3 and M3 for a singular vehicle?

Yep - crazy!

I almost sold my .1 GT3 a few months ago and upon reflection, I am ecstatic that the sale didn't materialize. I almost immediately realized my mistake in offering it in the first place and when the first serious selling attempt imploded, I immediately withdrew the for sale ad even though there were other (supposedly) interested parties waiting in the wings, one of whom offered more than I was asking for the car.

FACT: Porsche no longer builds GT3's like the one you have any longer and likely will not ever again. The 997 versions are likely the swan song of the harder core enthusiast's pur sang Porsche sports car.

I believe that if you let yours get away, you will almost certainly regret that decision in the future. But if the harder core driving experience is not your thing, do what you gotta do. You are the one who has to be happy!

Decisions, decisions...

Thanks for the input thus far, seems to be pretty across the board on this one.

I'll sit on it a bit longer, feeling the itch that I need to do something different.

Good, crazy is a happy-median place to be!

Moving has been in the cards as of late, the short list is looking like Austin, TX; or Bend, OR.

ditto on keeping the GT3, but if you decide to sell it, I might have a buyer for you depending on miles, price.
email at tgil99@yahoo or call me 703-627-8221. it's someone I met at cars and coffee and we are part of the same local PCA region.
good luck with decision.

Crazy. Been there done that. Thought I could do one car that does everything well could fill all roles I need. Worst decision ever.

I don't have anything high dollar but I still feel better for having a vehicle for almost every reason. Heck I have a nice and a crappy truck for different use cases currently.
