Default Disable PASM inadvertently disables Dynamic Engine Mounts?

If you disable PASM (due to aftermarket shocks install, etc), does it effect your Dynamic Engine Mounts?

Instructions to disable PASM involve disconnecting the PASM module. Is this also the place where the Dynamic Engine Mount code is stored and used?

THAT is a *very* good question ... you might ask Tom @ TPC-Racing (developers of their DSC product which replaces the PASM module)

certainly their 991/981 DSC is now able to control PADM, which would suggest that at least in that car they are co-located, not sure about the 997, but my
guess would be yes... since functionally PASM and PDEM are "related"

yes it does but you can have the dynamic engine mounts hard coded on or off using a PIWIS

I just had mine set to on when i ran Bilstein Clubsports.

The advantage of running DSC module is the PDEM work as expected

I think you can also s/w disable PASM (w/o physically removing the PASM module) thus retaining PDEM... which makes more sense if you are removing PASM shocks.

A little off topic, but is anyone running semi solid mounts on a DEM equipped RS or GT3? Any advantages or is it best to stick with the factory DEM's?

I have not been able to find that feature in PIWIS, does anyone know the procedure? Thanks!

When I installed JRZ I had to disable PASM to get rid of the PASM failure message which resulted in the DEM failure light. i coded out PASM and DEM and installed rennline engine mounts with race insert. Fixed the sloppy 2-3 upshift under lateral load.
