I wonder what this cost. Turbos are cheap and I am sure this would cost a lot less than a fully fledged GT2 so the moding like turbos and RS spoiler or track use won't be an issue any more.
Plus theres all the turbo parts that can be sold to recoupe some of the costs.
Here in Oz a turbo is ~$170k where a GT2 is $500k+, thats a big delta!
Interesting project and I would like to see more!

speaking of winning a lottery, I have a friend who's ex-wife did win millions, after they were divorced, she apparently (I don't know her), is conservative, and only allows herself a new Cadillac every year. I have won two drawings in my life time, one, a Tag Heur Formula 1 watch, and recently a Porsche oil and filter change. The Mega Buck is now something like 400K million, and while i rarely buy any tickets, it is fun to think of what that would do. Car wise, I would buy a Miura and a Koeniggsegg, an FIA Cobra, and a full on GT2.
Simple taste in automobiles.
The BBI car above is simply stunning in what they are able to do with a Porsche. As a half century photographer, getting the light and reflections and shadows just right is difficult, and BBI does a great job of showcasing their work.
All the best....

There's a lot of missing parts there i.e gear box (from 4 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive).
Raven,
A dealer could do it, at least the one in Perth could plus we are lucky to have a couple of indies that could do it locally also. Once you have the list of parts its pretty much plug and play.
I would guess ~100-150k would do it... so $350k all up for a great spec, tuned track rat ready GT2 to your own spec.
I spent last night looking on carsales.com.au at turbo's

That is certainly better bang for buck than a genuine GT2 ,,,,,Price,s down under have just gotten silly ,,,this type of conversion is certainly something to think about ,,,,,,good luck with your search for a suitable donor car ................
