If you're going through all of this effort and money, why not built a GT2 RS instead? I mean might as well. Can't be that much more than the GT2 build, both in terms of effort and money.

Yup, if one's making that much effort already, might as well go the whole hog and make it a GT2 RS.
But having said that, this is a beautiful conversion job.
Well done to the guys at BBiAutosport!

Shouldn't have cut the stock fenders. OE fenders are cheap, RS fenders are the same price as non-RS and already have the clearances for the lips.
Please change the title of the thread, it's misleading. No matter what you put into this car it isn't a GT2, it's a Turbo with a lot of parts, some which happen to be GT2 parts. Doesn't have much relevance in this forum, that's like tarting up a Carrera and calling it a GT3.

Whats wrong with cutting fenders, car will obviously not be going back to stock. They are painted and fitted so a trim is an easy answer and probably at client request. If it had been a rare car may be, but again its the owners choice- if it was a rare Buggati I could understand your point of view but again if he wanted to put some neons and ricer parts on it its his to do what he wants.
I for one like this project and would like to do something similar but starting with a GT3 with a turbo motor in it.

Bit harse Nick, there are some who are interested in this great project. GT2 are becoming very hard to source so a conversion like this which is done well gives some of us options.
