Default For those of us with '07 / '08 model years - time for TPMS ! >>

Just a quick note. The batteries in my sensors died earlier this year and it was annoying the heck out of me. (I'm the *one* who likes to check up on my tire pressures with the in-dash display). I guess they have a lifespan of about 7-8 years?

I did a little research and found folks have had luck replacing the OEM TPM sensors with these 433Mhz replacements for a fraction of the price: http://www.oewheelsllc.com/TPMS-Sens...-Sensors-SET_4

I pulled my wheels and dropped them off with the new sensors to my wheel shop and they installed and rebalanced for $60. ~$200 installed = good.

Hope this helps.

How accurate are your sensors? Mine read about 3-4 psi lower than actual pressure. I have Beru sensors.

I filled tires to 29 front 33 rear and that's what I'm reading on the display. It took about 10 miles to "learn" the new TPM sensors and pressures.

Leh see this post. You simply unplug the module which is near the brake reservoir and then code it out. Piwis or durametric can do this. totally reversible.

I disabled this a couple years ago, first because I'm cheap and didn't want sensors in 4 sets of wheels, second the 997.1 system isn't that good, and last constant warnings on track until tires are up to temps....

That's good, I wonder why mine read so low. I also do 29/33 psi but seeing about 26 front, 29/30 rear. I also have them in my track wheels, but don't recall the reading anymore.

hmm, this light came on on my 2008 Audi RS4 recently, yet all tires checked out fine. still need to try to reset it, but this thread has me wondering if maybe my sensors have given up...
