Thoughts on swapping OE shift to a GT3 shift console on 997.2
or doing the OE short shift kit instead (made by SSK I think). 997 board suggested Numeric.

Still thinking of first two options above, want to keep it with Porsche parts.
Are u happy with your Original GT3 shifting precision, etc? Is it more precise than one on 997.2 if you've had a chance to compare?

I've shifted a manual 997.2 S before getting my GT3.

The difference in the shifting action is notable. "Bolt-action rifle" is what comes to my mind when I shift the GT3. I think its due to the bits which are steel on the GT3 shifter instead of plastic on the regular 997.

^^^^^when removing the counter balance weights do you have to go into the transmission for any other changes?
