Question CAN connection

I tried search and found nothing on this. Does anyone know where I would find the CAN+ and CAN- wires behind or near the PCM or instrument panel? I know I can get to them at the ECU in the back between the shock towers at the ECU. I would prefer to tap in closer to where I intend to mount the AIM equipment. It would make things less likely to be a problem. Thanks

It's in the main bundle going into the fusebox. Same colors.

Yep easy to find near fuse box once you remove the tape wrap. Look in the race or data section here and you'll find detailed pictures.

Thanks for all the help. The radio is being removed to allow the AIM to be mounted there so that will make it much easier to tap into the wires. Now need to find them. Thanks again.

There is a CAN pair in the big loom that runs underneath and behind the radio, that's how I wired my AIM Solo DL as well.

if u are running wires for your aim, instead of twisting a bunch of wires you can use a run of cat network cable since it's it's an internal twisted pair

It was part of the loom that connects to the sport and tc buttons.

AIM document states wires are yellow/white and black/white twisted pair. All I have been able to find is yellow and black twisted pair. My car is a 2007 model. Is the y/b twisted pair the correct wires? Cannot find them anywhere except near fuse box. All help appreciated!

i have to check my wiring diagram at home, the wires might be different...not sure

if you hve the fuse box opened up, just run a run of patch cable from the fuse area to your aim harness. i can take some pics for you when i get home. my mxs is mounted on the steering column, the harness is long enough that i only needed a short length of cable to connect to the harness

I went to the ECU and at the ecu they are y/w & b/w twisted so I need to pull some more tape fusebox and panel open. Pictures would be appreciated greatly. Also pics of how you mounted the MXS. I have been agonizing over where to put it.
Greatly appreciated.

Okay, I found the correct twisted pair inside the bundle near the fusebox location. Still looking under radio. Now the dilemma is how to mount the MXS without butchering anything and getting the connection wiring where it can be disconnected and harness removed for the occasional road trip. Any ideas??
