Q: What is the GT3 market?

A: It's what the buyer is willing to pay for whatever available specific car that they are interested it.

Period.

Yes sir, we created this rule some time ago, although I was partial to cats and gun pictures but both of those ideas were woofed down by wolf puppies and dogs.

Well then can we talk about what I need to purchase to be able to remove my wheels and where is the best place to get it.

Somebody told me I want a torque multiplier and a regular Torque Wrench instead of a long Torque Wrench.

What do you guys use. I won't use it often so don't need anything top quality, don't want to spend thousands of dollars to be able to pull my wheels maybe once a year for cleaning or something. Any advice would be appreciated .

Big a$$ Torque wrench and breaker bar or torque multiplier and regular Torque wrench. Both work. I went the torque multiplier way. Found one cheap used. Works great.

New, both options will cost about $450+. I got my torque multiplier for $150 and use the other tools I already had.

Is one method easier than the other?

What is the torque supposed to be set at on the 2011 GT3 (997.2)?

Torque multiplier decreases the force you need to loosen and tighten so you can use shorter torque wrench or less force on a long one. It takes more "travel" of the wrench but not a big deal. You probably introduce some error in the torque reading through the multiplier but I haven't had any loosening of the nuts after multiple track days. Just make sure the center locking mechanism is fully engaged after tightening.

I have 12,000 track miles out of 16,000 odometer miles on my 997.2 GT3. I lost a lot of sleep over deciding whether I needed (wanted--same thing) a 991 or 991RS. I thought I needed the next better and faster thing. But the thing is, my 997.2GT3 with a few mods is so perfect and so enjoyable to track. I am still learning in it and I can't imagine having any more enjoyment than I am having with this car. I hope I never wreck it--because I don't know what I would get to replace it. I don't even know why I am putting this here--I guess because the thread made me wonder what the car was worth. It doesn't matter though. I will continue to thrash it, then apologize and treat it with loving care in-between. There is still lots more car than driver in this relationship.

Agreed here 100%. Going to give 991 GT3 RS a shot, but my heart is with my 7.2 GT3. Such an awesome machine!

There's 4 997.2 GT3 RS for sale on autotrader: One at $241k, one at $239k, one at $225k, and the last at $190k which is undervalued. The market has spoken volumes as to just how incredible this car is and what it's true worth is.

Truly the best driver's car Porsche has made in it's history --918 and CGT included. Looking forward to the years ahead and the articles that will be written about this legendary car. Soooooooo happy I have one and plan on never selling.
