Default Hoosier Users: Who has tried the BFG R1S?

At Mid Ohio this weekend burning through a set of Hoosiers. A shop owner in the neighboring garage that supports customers at the track says that all of his GT3 customers have converted from Hoosiers to the BF Goodrich g-Force R1 S; after trying them supposedly none of the owners went back to Hoosier.

They claim just as grippy, cost less and last longer. Sounds too good to be true, so looking for other data points from drivers that have tried them, thank you.

I had a set at COTA this spring, set my personal best on them. I don't know about their longevity though....they fell of their initial stick within a 5 heat cycles, about like a hoosier R6, but they are not wearing as fast.

Yes. I run the 265 fronts, zero issues.
I bought 3 sets from Jackson Motorsport Group and love the grip and wear. They are great for the price.
There's only one issue. All three sets, the tires do not stay fixed on the rims. They rotate considerably. By the end of a day the mark on the tire will have rotated 180 degrees from the valve stem consequently getting a shutter due to the imbalanced.
No other tires (Hoosier or Michelin) have rotated on the same rims.

I get rotation on Hoosiers, up to 180 degrees in a day (4 -25 min sessions)

Try having them mounted with aqua net hair spray instead of the usual soapy water stuff. When it dries, they stick. My rotation was reduced considerably. I still have to rotate side to side to rotate back, but usually not for 3 track days.

What is your opinion on these compared to the Hoosier R7's? Any actual data?

Thanks.

Yes on .2RS - tiny tiny tiny bit of rubbing. Depends on how high to jump the car.

I'd like to try some on my non-rs .2
Did you use the 265 and 335?
Do they rub a lot?

My R6 & R7 experience on .2 RS:

Front:
265/35R19 - significant rub
235/35R19 - ok
255/35R18 - ok
245/35R18 - ok

Rear:
325/30R19 - ok
335/30R18 - ok
