Default Anyone got a rust hole on their GMG center section?

Was looking into the exhaust tip today....not sure why, and saw this:

Now I need a new center section (I'm not even going to try to call GMG...)

....anyone selling?

wait what? what's the other side look like? doesn't gmg have the 2 sides connected via a small pipe?

do yourself a favor, pickup that steel muffler that's listed here, call BBi or whoever sells side bypass pipes and get that. For track it's the setup. weight and sounds good.

They do, there is a hole in that cross over pipe.

OK, i see it now. Weak. Candidly an easy fix for any decent welder....

that said, THIS is a muffler hole. No comment on whose it is, not mine!

I have GMG center/...

http://www.gmgracing.com/store/2007/...n-exhaust.html

Is this the same? No issues here but I don't think my car has ever seen anything wet except a car wash... I did experience a coolant tank failure in front of me once at VIR.. got some moisture there.. I really don't know how that could have rusted. I could weld that in about 5 min...

It looks like you do lots of short drives, sucks that this happens to such an expensive piece. What did GMG say?

I didn't call them. They were less than happy to take responsibility for their headers, my time is worth more than arguing with them at this point.

Call James Sofronas at GMG.

They should stand by their product, unless it's proven that it was caused by the user.

Been there with headers, unlikely they will help.

Just looked at mine. I have the same hole for the crossover pipe on each end but it's not rusted in the back of the crossover pipe.

Atx is going to fix it.

Word of warning to those contemplating a gmg center section.
