are you talking about the stick on pieces, or the actual cut to fit cup extension

I looked at the picture of the fvd version and is not the same attachment area and quality compare to OEM?
Anyone has experience with it?
The picture looks similar to the eBay version.
Dose it need extra prep time?

Mooty,
U mean don't cut the fender or don't get the OEM extension?
I might just get the gmg one which is wider than OEM, and I can cut fender if I ever need to.
I am running nt01 245 40 18 with spacers and is better than r888 255 35 18. Tire is flush with fender with no rubbing with 8.0 caster and 3.0 camber. I had run 265 before, no issue.
The OEM one will work fine.
But with gmg at same price range, I might be able to run 275 front if I need in the future.
Hard decision

Do you know if gmg is selling the cup fender extension or their own version?
They do not stock it and can't answer this question? Maybe talking to a wrong guy.

They sell the cup fender extension. If thats the route you go, its cheaper to buy that from Rhonda at FVD (its not a replica, its PMNA part)

So to run the PMNA cup flares, there are 2 choices. You either trim your existing fender and mount the flare to it, or have the lip on the flare ground down so u can just attach it to your existing fender. Obv the differences in doing this would be the amount of clearance you have.

Or the third choice is get the cup fenders as well, then you have your stock fenders preserved.

Part numbers for the flares. Best place to get them from is Rhonda at FVD. If you go this route tell her I sent you.

Part numbers:

- 997 5.05 366 91G2X Wheel Cover Front Right

- 997 5.05 365 91G2X Wheel Cover Front Left

- 997 503 401 91G2X - Fender flare left 997 GT3 Cup 10-
- 997 503 402 91G2X - Fender flare right 997 GT3 Cup 10-

All this comes out to $640

I just sold an extra set I had

If you wanted to go with Cup Fenders as well, here are the part numbers and costs from FVD

997 503 931 96 Fender Left 997 GT3 Cup 10-997 $494.93
997 503 932 96 Fender Right 997 GT3 Cup 10-99750393296 $531.53

here is a pic of my OEM cup fenders and flares. If you go this route, I would suggest getting the cup wheel liners as well
