Last Dec I posted to say that I've jumped ship, so after an 07 GT3, 10 GT3 Cobalt blue & 10 GT3 RS my GTS is now home.
1st impressions, steering is reactive I like the feel back weight and thickness of the wheel, no comparison to the GT3 which isn’t a bad thing, far more street compliant, smooth gear changes – not granular like the RS, that said, it’s easier to put into reverse than 1st. I’ll have to change my driving style due to the longer length of each gear, going to take some time getting used to not grabbing for the hand brake. Engine note with the Sport button is good and nice rumble from throttle lift. Seats are comfortable.
1st set of pics picking the car up, trailered it to Chris Gilbert at the Aston Martin dealership for clear bra. Once done I drove the car to Houston West Side Porky for an improved alignment, then drove it home.

I like the concept of what you did with the GTS script on the tail. I've been thinking of doing that if/when I get my 991.2 GT3. (I think you could close the gap on the letters a bit, compared to how Porsche gave them to you, but that's nit picking).

I'm genuinely surprised anyone would get rid of a 997.2 RS for a 991.1 GTS...but I hope you're enjoying the ride and your car looks fantastic! I hope you basically got the new car for 'free' or made money on the deal though.

I had a 991 C4S(PDK though, did not like the tranny), and it was the perfect DD and DE car. It simply does everything exceptionally well, you can't compare the experience to the RS, but again, if the OP wants to use his Pcar more often and especially on the street, then I think the GTS is the way to go.
Good call on not getting a GTS with the CLs. Congrats on the new car.

Thanks mate. Agreed, unless you've been in solitary confinement for the last 50 years the 911 has to be one of the most recognizable / iconic cars made. If you don't know what it is by now, crochet beckons while you use public transport.

I'm in a state of shock that you would part with the cobalt blue GT3 ... what is the world coming too?
