Thanks guys. Should have more progress updates next week.

Ranger, your build definitely influenced my willingness to do the same. Glad to hear that the car is still running strong and putting a smile on your face.

If Leh is involved, he get's to be the test driver for each car. No way I'm putting my skills on the track vs his!! I could drive an F1 car and he'd still likely beat me in a Yugo!

Cota splits the distance a bit, as we're all so so far apart. I'm in Seattle, Juan's in Florida, Leh's in Atlanta (I believe), and then the SoCal contingent...

Jamie,
We need to get Alex at Sharkwerks on for this. He has the public profile. The rest of us are just "jobbers" but Alex has the connections.
Is European Car mag still around?? They were always open to publish aftermarket projects.
And please do not mention "Excellence". I lost TOTAL respect for those morons when they published an article on a TOTAL fraud. My friends GT3RS that was "supposed" to have been a 4.0L build. What a joke by those D'bags at GMG.
Those guys at GMG build nothing. GMG needs to get on their knees and thank Orbit for bailing out their ***.
And to think that I called GMG in June 2011 to inquire about their 4.0L build?
Thank goodness Fabryce was a total a-hole on how he spoke to me and treated me. Totally insulted a potential customer. Fabryce bucky you suck donkey *****.

So back on track, lets talk this up between the multiple true tuners/shops to get this to happen.
This would be great. My RS will be undergoing changes to compete in a local South Florida race series (FARA) which runs at Homestead. Before ir after it doesn't matter.

This would be awesome. I had originally considered owners drive but with Leh King involved I bow in respect to his pro driving capabilities to daily jobbers as ourselves.

It would be an honor if Leh Keen drove my RS.

I think Alex wouldn't miss a chance to get more press on their 997.2 4.1L... We all have taken slightly different tacts at accomplishing the same thing. So far we have some pretty heavy hitters
Champion
BBI
Sharkwerks
Autometrics
And my little project with Performance Development, Dundon exhausts and ApexSpeedtech (and possibly Cobb if Mitch ever has time) on the tune.

And if Leh was involved the magazines would beat down the door to cover it... It's more timing, logistics and getting the right coverage involved. Maybe Chris Harris wants to come and do it... Who knows...

Jamie I have always thought about this but now we are discussing it and that's great.
I just know that motorsport journalist like Chris Harris would undertake and enjoy such an opportunity.
To drive several aftermarket 4.0L to 4.25L builds on a track and wring them out to their limits ... my God how great would that be.
Tires are optional but I'll bring the Michelin blues .

Chris Harris, as I am sure is common knowledge, is in love with his personal 4.0RS. He would be perfect. He could bring along his 4.0 as a nice baseline. It's decided, sign him up.

Agreed, Chris is our guy to do this. He, Leh and all of us lowly owners could go out. Would be fun to ride with Leh or Chris in our own cars...

Or on second thought, maybe it's best I don't watch! LOL

Chris Harris sold his 4.0 a couple of years ago, if I remember correctly. But yeah, undoubtedly he has a love affair with the Mezger, and 4 liters is always better right?

I have connections with European car as well. Let me know if I can help. Maybe I'll have my motor build done by the time of this.
