CLs are free but you have to pay a whopping $2990 for Sport Buckets ![Stick Out Tongue](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
BTW I just saw two 2014 991 GT3s selling in 997-2 GT3 territory (125K and 132K, asking) in the classifieds here...

Frankly not sure what mine is even worth at this point considering the engine (plus or a minus depending on POV), but $95K always sounded like a good number to me in the past.

I definitely missed the boat a couple years ago. Now prices are at a point that are just out of reach and I essentially came to the conclusion that while I could buy one now, the important distinction is that owning a GT3 and tracking a GT3 are very different things. If I can't afford to track it, what's the point?
In my mind the Cayman R with buckets is the affordable mini-GT3 and that may be what I end up with.

A quick look at cars.com shows a bunch of 997.1 GT3s for sale, a lot more than there used to be. Prices are mostly in the $90Ks. Is this the price they are being off loaded now? There are still more 997.2 GT3s for sale, as usual, but now the 997.1 cars are starting show up. Wonder what's going on...

Don't sell it man if you can remotely avoid it. The .1 cars are not traded very often. There is a reason for that, as I just found out.

We have a local dealer around here that is buying as many GT3's as they can and then marking them up to > 140k hoping to cash out on them due to the hype surrounding the new ones not being available and no more 6 speeds.
I was actually thinking about making the move to a Porsche from my "American" Callaway but after seeing the prices soar I am out. I have always owned american cars and currently have a Gen II Viper and the Callaway SC652 but love makes and models of cars. As awesome of a car that they are I do not see them being worth the current asking prices. There are too many other more exotic cars when you start getting that much over 100k. Obviously there are Porsche fans that do not agree with me that are still buying them and driving the prices up so my opinion does not mean anything. I do think it is a shame that they are getting out of reach of a lot of enthusiast. I guess like with Microsoft and Apple stocks I am a day late and a dollar short.
I have to say at the prices above I would explore a 993TT before the GT3. I do expect the GT3 bubble to pop and prices to return to normal but then I expected the same thing to happen to the FGT's. Time will tell... If that does happen I may revisit adding a GT3 to my garage.

The 997 gt3 is a gorgeous car. One of the prettiest in my opinion. I would expect prices to compress over time across variants as miles and condition mix up the bag.
