Default While the engine's out for coolant pipe fix...

Gonna bite the bullet and have the coolant pipes pinned and Sharkwerk pipes installed on my .2 with 9K miles. Car is primarily a street car though may do an occassional DE etc.
Anything else that would make sense while engine-tranny is out?? RS clutch that big a difference, etc?

(if this is an Enzo, don't be too hard on me... )

I'm also doing the coolant pipe fix this winter. At the same time, I'm replacing all the coolant hoses, the front main seal (already did the rear main seal), coolant reservoir and cap, and upgrading to GMG transmission mounts. Water pump was replaced recently; otherwise I would be doing that, too. It's worth checking the condition of the clutch and LSD (if it's OEM), too. My car has 46k miles.

i might do this during the summer, are the motor/tranny mounts an upgrade or is that something that wears? Also does the water pump wear that early as well? The flywheel is an upgrade from my understanding and not preventative maintenance.

For me I'd add doing an LSD upgrade.

The shop doing my pinning didn't think I'd need the coolant tank due to car's mileage but "while we're there" I'm just trying to think of other things without adding the cost too much...

Ask Alex. He's a straight shooter.

My list. I wanted some cool hop up parts to go with the not inexpensive service. This one hurt a bit:

Coolant pipes welded, replaced all gaskets, o-rings, all rubber hoses, clamps, new rs4.0 clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, bearing, clutch fork, shaft bearing, front/rear main seals, water pump, expansion tank, thermostat, bbi under drive pulley, new drive belt, 996 cup short shifter, 996 cup shift cables, Guard club-sport diff, oil change, tranny fluid change, Cantrell transmission mounts

Nothing because I did not have to take the motor out to pin all 6 fittings and my car only has 13K miles.

I know this has been discussed many times but…… do I need to do anything to my coolant pipes or lines on a 2011 .2 RS? It has about 7K on the odometer.

My car has about 15k miles, probably when I come close to 20k I'll drop the engine and do 4.0 LWFW & Clutch, Guard LSD, and pin the coolant lines.

I already have RSS engine mounts, my shop said the transmission mounts don't do too much of a difference. I will certainly not do the 996 Cup car cables, as I had them on my previous GT3 and hated the noise emitted through the transmission tunnel into the cabin.

I don't know how worn your engine & transmission mounts are, but I really love the engine mount upgrade and suggest this to everyone!

Yes, water, while having the coolent pipes welded and RMS done. The part is cheap relative to labor to R&R everything. Plus I now have a spare in the parts bin.
