Default Which GT3 is more desirable: Loaded or Stripper?

When I was shopping for a .1 GT3 I only looked at highly optioned cars with leather everywhere, CF trim, Nav, sport chrono, pccb and etc. A couple I seriously considered had MSRPs nearly touching $140k.

I ended up buying a very clean 1 owner with only pccb and xenons. I figured I might as well get the purest version more in character of the GT3. I don't track my car so the PCCBs were a plus and the additional lighting from the xenons. However, I do wish I had the leather dash.

Do you guys wish your car did or did not have certain options?

it depends in buyer
I will lay the more for less option, the less option u have the more I will lay.
if u have sport chrono, I won't take it even free.
so all depends

I really like the rear storage capability, so happy I got a regular and not clubsport version

I do miss the leather on the dashboard from my previous Turbo which I dont have on my GT3, but as soon as I rev the engine and hear that sweet pure N/A sound I forget all about that

I think the GT3 essentials are all there as standard, any GT3 will drive like a proper drivers car

Stripper for me too.

However, I am willing to accept any GT3 for free, even if it has Sport-Chrono.

I agree that it depends on the buyer. Mine only had 3 options- full leather, PCCB and headlights. If I could spec the car out, I'd do it exactly the same.

The way I look at it, if you're buying a turbo you want it loaded. All bells and whistles! If you're buying a GT/RS car you want it stripped. Less is more!

When I was looking I only considered cars with carbon bucket seats and NO sport chrono.

that's the way I feel about it too. Mine only had fal, dem, sound package plus, nav, and ceramics....I had to put the buckets in it later but it was the perfect spec and the seller was only an hours drive away from me.

Stripper, it's not a luxury car.

Mine has only xenons, floor mats and red seat belts.

Mine doesn't even have seats. I use my pillow. I take my pillow downstairs in the morning as it's still warm. Free heated seats.

Strippers. I have 2 other luxury cars. Plus if these cars are keepers the less options the better. It's less crap to break.

As long as it does not add weight (I'm not talking grams....), I don't care what's in it. One exception to that rule - I wish mine had Xenons. The Lightweight halogens are not very good.

^That is how the original owner speced mine, it is a high MSRP car, but no comfort thingies besides leather + deviated stitching. It has no wart, no nav, no sound plus, no cornering headlights, no front lift. All the pricey options are - PCCB, bucket seats, dynamic engine mounts and the thicker steering wheel.

I do appreciate the pretty bits (carbon everything, leather everything..the original owner had fun checking boxes I would never check) because it's hilarious to experience the contrast of that environment and then hear the transmission rattling loudly. Epitomizes the feeling of driving a cup car on the street.
