Just a fly on the wall, a local Austinite at that.
La BBQ is the best choice. No affiliation. Less line than Franklins, better BBQ. You have to try a beef rib, each has about 6 oz meat. Last time I heard you can get a full brisket call ahead with 1 weeks notice. Free beer on weekend... As long as they have BBQ (3-4 hours) from about 10:00 to 2:00. So call ahead and bring BBQ to COTA.
Mmm race fuel and BBQ. Make my eyes water.

a brisket is what, 5 lbs? get a few and some bread and sides and all set. That rib sounds good. Sounds like you only need 1 hahahah
Appreciate the tip. I've been to many of the places in austin at one time or another... they (to this west coast native) all are good (except for the big chain type places ugh). Closest thing we have in LA to TX BBQ is Bludsoes in Compton. It's legit. But can be a sketchy proposition to get your bbq on.
And yes, BBQ, fast cars, race fuel, and according to tgavem stripper perfume.... :-)
