Default NT01 in 19" OEM GT3 sizes

Saw this on nitto's website while ago...they have had a 235/35 19" listed for a long time. Now they show a 305/30 19" available 2/1. Is that a typo on the overall width? That's 2" narrower than an 18" 305.

They will sell a ton to folks that didn't already take the plunge to 18". Good 991 GT3 tires for folks that got 19" Forgelines made.

Now that I just made the plunge to 18" rims...

Still got a leg up with the 245-40-18 / 315-35-18's though. :-)

I don't think they would work right for a 991 GT3. The overall diameters are about an inch less than oem.

It's the front/rear speed ratio that the car measures, it can't measure absolute velocity.
If the diameter ratio is in the stock window, it should work fine.
Just calculated it, the NT01 diameter ratio is 1.35% different from stock on the 991 GT3, extremely close, not an issue.

A432, thanks for clarifying. That's good news for 991 guys....that is if Nitto will actually keep the tire in supply.

Paver - you just have to stock up when they are in supply. I have 5 fresh sets in the garage. May look at Maxxis for the M3 after I get feedback on performance.

You got that right.

I emailed Maxxis a month ago. FWIW, they said they are planning to produce sizes for late models Porsches in 2015.

I am considering their 275/35-18. Price is better than Nitto. If they made GT3 sizes, I would try a set. Their NASA contingency plan is good.

Wish they would make a 245/35/18 or 255/35/18 for my Cayman.
