I have a .2 but use e36 m3 as a daily. I lucked out on it with less than 50,000 miles when I found it a year ago but with less than $15k, you can have a pretty good & fun DD.

Sell the 63 and buy a 6 GT3... Just add another to the collection... It's not a suggestions that is meant to make sense, it would feel good though.

You can replace your E63 with an older E55 and have 95% the same experience on a daily basis in a car that cost you $20k.

We've owned our '04 E55 for 6 years now and at times I disliked it and didn't know why we owned it and then I daily drove it for a couple of weeks including long road trips and really developed a new fondness for it.

Pulley, tune, intercooler pump upgrade and maybe a set of headers and it'll make the 63 seem slow all for pennies on the dollar.

I'm going to test the waters of selling my 63. I think you guys are right that it's only going to lose more value. I paid over $90 for it less than 3 years ago and it has lost almost half its value. Argh!

Was looking at w211 e63s online and there are a sea of them under $30.

I owned a .2rs and now a .1rs. Couldn't be happier. Not at least until I can get my hand on the new 991 rs. Good luck.
Just curious, what makes the RS that much better. Same engine and transmission, does it really drive that different just from the flywheel and slightly wider rear track? If someone blind folded you and put you in the car then had you drive it would you be able to tell it's a RS?

Gearing is the biggest difference. But combine the gearing, +15 hp, better aero, LWFW and all of a sudden the combination of all of those factors results in an ultimately better package.

I would be careful with those engines. As said above, E55 is the better option. It is not a widely known fact, but stock for stock the W211 E55 has more low and mid range torque than the W211 E63. I also like that it's a bit more understated looking.

My E55 is bone stock except for a set of C63 mufflers (holy crap!) and I love it.

The one thing I dislike about the GT3 is how tall the gears feel because of that 8500RPM redline. Doing 80MPH is 2nd gear is silly IMO.

I like this idea. Just not sure where to put the second kid.
