I deleted my secondary cats and the sound is perfect. I love the snap, crackle and pop when downshifting and decel. Awesome motor!

I think the standard 3.8 gt3 is one of the best cars for the money you can buy on the road

Absolutely same street performance as .2RS, looks and drives better than a .1, and really the price difference is trivial. The torque on the 3.8 during street driving makes it worth it IMO vs the .1

Would stay with your current GT3. Best value of all of the 997 GT series. Don't think you'll see much if any difference on public roads.

I have the SW bypass. Transformed the car.

Was going to install a LW flywheel, but read a thread that some experienced problems converting to the single mass one. Drove a buddy's 07 with one and I liked it. Revs quick, but seemed a little harder to modulate. I actually liked the rattling at idle.

My RS has the LWFW. Great on track. Meh on the street.
It is a pleasure to drive my non RS without the constant rattle i must admit.
I wouldnt change it.

Or go the other way and do LWFW and 996 cup cables. I love the rattles and with the cables it happens all the time, not just at idle.

I do not track my GT3. I probably drive it 3000 miles annually just on the weekends as a fun errand car and stress reliever. I definitely do not take full advantage of the performance on the street.

I figure the only way I can justify the upgrade to a 2010 GT3 is to downgrade my daily driver. I have a 2011 E63 (not the biturbo) that I drive daily and love. It's an awesome sedan that is roomy, comfortable and probably as fast as my GT3. It's still under warranty, which is a plus. I am guessing It is worth low $50s if I sold it today.

Should I sell my E63 and buy something cheap like a new Honda Accord sedan to justify upgrading my 2007 GT3 to a 2010?

Would you guys do it? Is the .2 worth it?
If you're considering this, maybe turn the 997.1 into your daily driver, and use the value of the other car to cover the depreciation. Win-Win!

I don't know what would be a good second car, but if I could sell the MB and get $50K for it today I would. The depreciation is just going to keep on going down, down, down with the Benz. Everybody here knows the depreciation on your Porsche will be very small considering the rate of annual mileage and Porsches just don't depreciate like other cars.

There are plenty of great DD cars new and used. Just got to do your homework. That and have you ever thought of going to an auction. Sometimes the prices I see some sell for what they could go for at a lot or private sale just shocks the **** out of me sometimes. Especially Mecum Auctions in mid-size towns just gets silly in the mid west.

Sounds like your Soul will only be at peace when You trade your .1 for a .2

So just do it. Life's way way too short to procrastinate on these matters.

But for God's sake don't kill your daily drive with an Accord. Take the money you can get NOW for your 63 (it is losing value every day) and just get an older 63 or M whatever, one which has already lost all the value you currently 63 is about to lose...

You'll be a happier person in the end.
