Default Should I sell .1 GT3

Guys,

I do have a black .1 GT3 with only 13k miles on it, perfect condition. But my wife really hates the color, like she said, such a car like GT3 must be in a fancy color. That leads to the idea of change color, say into pumpkin. All of a sudden, I find an OEM .1 RS decklid and wing in pumpkin color, very good shape. I've been thinking for a while that should I just wrap my car into pumpkin and put on the OEM RS wing and decal everything to make it fancy, which the driving experience not change at all, but with good looking, or just sell this perfect .1 GT3, to get another .2 GT3 or maybe RS with better looking and driving experience? Since the OEM stuffs are not cheap.

Please, please give me some advice.

BTW, Anyone knows the place to do a color change, basically just wrap the car, in Houston, TX? Anyone done that b4? what's the price range of wrap the whole car?

Regards,

My $.02....you will always wish u had an RS. If you can afford, don't even think twice. If it stretches you financially, don't do it. No car is worth that and you won't enjoy it. If the latter is the case enjoy your GT3 for what it is and drive it hard!

I went the opposite way. I sold the .2 and just bought a .1. I find the .1 is a better car for me. I find that the drive and fun of the car outweighs the color. I don't like dark interiors but I will soon forget that my car has a dark interior when the car arrives and I am pushing 8000rpms. I have always heard buy the car not the color. My pennies worth of advice.

I am not sure what you paid for your GT3 but by the time you sell it for $85k and find an orange .1RS for 100k you will have realized it was not worth the time and 15-20k difference.

The .1GT3 non RS is a subtle 911 hot rod. They are simple on the outside with sofa seats and sunroof on the inside. It really is a great GT3 for daily use.

If you want a crazy color you can alway have the car wrapped or plastidip. $1500-3500.00 depending how good the product and installer might be.

If you do wrap the car and install a RS wing, avoid the GT3RS side logo as it would be lame labelling the car as something it is not.

In the case of the .1 non RS, less is more. Flashy colors and side logos are somewhat over rated, especially for daily use.

You could always paint the wheels and add a script (non-RS) in a bright color like Guards Red, orange or the 918 green Would help make the car pop a bit and would look good with an RS wing without costing you much money.

it's your car, i say do what you want with it not because someone dislikes the color. The difference in price between a .1 and .1RS is pretty huge so you have to put that into mind. With that said you likely won't lose value if you put money into getting an rs. If i could afford it, i'd go RS or .2GT3. whatever you do try not to color change it, it'll devalue the car for resale later. A wrap is something you can consider or as suggested earlier, do red wheels, wing with red endcaps, red mirrors and that look could work.

This.
And, please, keep the original rear wing.

Here's the KI Studios side graphics that the PO installed on my .1

I prefer the non-fancy subtle look and promptly removed them...

Nah wild colors are not needed. Sometimes subtly is a good thing. Besides, if you wanted a showy car you wouldn't buy a porsche, you'd buy a ferrari or a lambo.

Full car wraps done well are at least 3k+ around here.

Your white one with red stripes, looks so good. I might consider the KI studio stuff, you install yourself?

Thanks, man. I may chose yellow graphic, the simple one. Coz the PCCB is yellow, might look better with yellow stripe.

Thanks for your advice, man. I'd just keep it and put more and more miles on it.

Thanks man, I will keep my .1 hot rod, no RS wing, no color changing. I am considering to order sharkwerks bypass pipe. I checked many youtubes, it sounds greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.

Thanks for your advice again
