Help! Front swaybar hitting lower control arms with TPC links .2RS
My car has TPC front sway bar drop links installed by Kellen Miller (Gold Meister Technician) from Beachwood Porsche but the stock sway bars and drop links would hit the lower control arms when the car is lifted and possibly from rough pavements. When the car sits on the ground, there is about 1/4" clearance between the lower control arms and the OEM sway bar. Is this normal? Kellen told me everything was setup correctly and I'm concerned that the control arms will bend over time. Also there are constant clicking & chattering noises between 10-40mph. Any opinions will be appreciated, thanks!

I set the drop links so that the bar and the control arm has ~1mm air gap when the suspension is on full droop. It is possible that Kellen zero'ed the sway bars with the suspension loaded on the alignment rack.

Easy fix. Just ask Kellen to shortened both links by same distance.

Its not uncommon for solid joints(aka heim joints or race joints) to make metallic sound at lower speeds. On race cars with solid joints and solid motor mounts metallic noises are pretty much accepted as a feature of the beast but definitely can be an annoyance on street cars. For street cars the rubber boots can be packed with wheel bearing grease to dampen the metallic sound. My experience has been that will dampen the sound by 90-100%. You can squeeze the rubber boots to find out if they have grease. If not, then pull back on the rubber, insert a grease nozzle in there and fill those puppies.
