Default Factory tires 07 GT3?

What tires did the 07 GT3 come with from the factory?

Michelin Cup or PSS?

Cold pressures on the side of my car call for 29/33... Was just told that for the cup and for PSS I should be cold at 37/44.

Well the Super Sports were not available when the car came out so I'm gonna say that they were probably the Michelin PS2's or the Sport Cups, and I'm leaning towards the Sport Cups.

Tire rack website has the option to only show you OEM for the car. Use that. 997.2 came with MPSC.

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup or Pirelli. I do not think they are making the Pirelli any longer.

So were the Pirelli's a cup type tire or a traditional street tire like a PS2 level?.

They were like a cup tire. If I remember correctly 60 tread wear rating.

37/44 are closer to 991 pressures. You should not be that high I believe.

Typically came with Pilot Sport Cups, they weren't very good in wet, wore quickly, and gave average dry performance.

There were two oem tires from the factory: Pilot Sport Cups or Pirelli P Zero Corsa.

Average dry performance? Compared to what?

997.1 came with Michelin Sport Cup NOT PSS2 some came with Pirelli Corsa which are no long available.

29/33 for GT3 is correct. The 37/44 psi is for Carrera S 4 passenger with luggage reading. Carrera S is 33/39 for 997.1

Stick with the 29/33 psi for GT3 due to suspension is much different than Carrera S.

Compared to Yokohama A048, Michelin PS2, Toyo 888, and a few others I tried over the years. Not even close to R6's in the dry.

I have Bridgestone R11 on my GT3, and feel they are a better tire then the MSPC.

29/33 is for the Sport Cup, id the cup has a much stiffer side wall then the MPSS, the MPSS would need higher cold PSI for the street.

On the track the MPSS get slippery above 40 psi, so there's a relatively narrow operating range of tire pressures where they work well.

Street pressure for MPSS I use 31 front 34 rear. One way you can tell how your pressures are working for you is get a piece of chalk, draw a line across the tread of the tire, drive in a straight line, then check the line. Is it even wear, is one side off more than the other, etc etc and adjust pressure accordingly
