Ranger is sort of right though. Things always go through a cycle and right now would have been the prime of the last gen gt, instead there are now daily threads about the prices and hypothetical buying and selling. So, I do feel and share the pain.

As to your questions, the answer if you didn't know it, is all of the above

Those threads have existed the entire nearly 10 years I have been on this forum. Always one generation back from the newest car out. Exists on every car forum on the net.

Embrace it, enjoy it, welcome new people, teach new things, learn new stuff, and relax

Here's a thread of people driving the crap out of their cars. There were probably 20+ GT3/RS out there of 996/997 gens this past weekend. People do drive and enjoy. And not once did PRICES come up all weekend, well except for Mooty wanting to hawk some plastic bits from a 996 LOL.

Default GT3/RSs in action

Here are a few GT3/RSs in action at COTA. There were at least 10 at the event.

Why own it if you don't drive it and I'm not talking about to Starbucks for a latte

I love the fast Miatas :roll eyes: There was one at COTA earlier this year that had some serious forced induction and it a Honda CRV moved along pretty well.

This Miata had actually just turned loose the GT3 boys on the front stretch.

RS Ranger,

We are out there driving them, come on over to Texas and join the fun. I would love to see your pumpkin hauling the mail at TWS or COTA, where it could really stretch its legs.

Interesting note, the guy in the 458 was doing his first event at COTA in that car. I spoke to him Saturday evening and he said he was 5 sec a lap faster in his .2 RS than in the 458.

Speaking of Miaters my garage mate will have a Miater this year instead of the K24 CRX. Same K24 but much better handling in the Miater. IIRC Andy ran around a 2:28 on Hoosiers in the CRX last year with MVP.

If it was a white car I saw him there and he was getting around pretty well. I think I have a little video of a nice drive off of T20 up the front straight and then a point by off of T1 going to T2. That little car would scoot.

Did he end up with an engine issue?
