Default Coding out air bags

I have the Durametric and want to code out all my airbags, so they will not go off, and I won't get error lights on the dash for my OMP seats. Anybody have the steps on which buttons to check or uncheck when hooked up with the Duranetric? I also don't want to have to do it again if I install an OMP wheel.

Or does this require PIWIS?

I believe it may be possible with the Durametric Pro, but not possible with the Enthusiast version.

I figured rather than messing with coding I would have the dealer do it with PIWIS (thorax airbags, steering wheel airbag, passenger weight sensor, seat belt connectors, and TPMS). No warning lights! :-)

I banged my head on this subject because I was in your shoes with the same problem. Here's all you need to do: TURN ARS OFF, TURN BOTH THORAX AIRBAGS OFF. Clear all codes. The airbag light will go away. I used a Porsche PWIS to do this. Unsure you can do this with Durametric alone.

i have the Pro but have not had good luck clearing dash lights (in a couple diff cars with race steering wheels, race seats). i can clear the seatbelt chimes and AWS/center console light no problem but have not been able to get that dash light. maybe since it's the major part of the system (and high-safety oriented), requires a PIWIS to do??

Wire in a resistor of 1.8 to 2.8 ohms to fool it into thinking the air bags are still in place. A simple fix and no coding necessary. I hate taking the car to the dealer. I probably have a few soldered up if you send a PM and let me know how many you need. I have spare resistors for sure. I am slow on the PMs, be patient.

All you can do is use 2.2 ohm resistor to replace airbag, and use piwis / durametric pro to clear the dash light

Airbag ecu is programmed in factory, if you set airbag existence to No, you'll get the dash light anyway, even with right resistor value, because ecu "see" that it has been modified ...

^ true for 2011 and later cars.
on one of my 2010, i was able to kill air bag light with either piwis or durametric pro.
it's not intutitive, i was frustrated and started pushing buttons random and chaotically. and some how it worked. as such i dont have the algorithm for it. but you can do it. someone with more patience than i.
