I gotta admit I was wondering the same thing.

To be honest, the ad is a feeler (forgot it was live). 2 weeks before the issue occurred I turned down an offer. The whole experience made me want out of the car/out of Porsche in general.

Am having the coolant lines pinned and the variocam bolts torqued, etc. as part of this "service".

Would entertain selling at that price and sharing the cost of the work (~$4k quoted) to the right individual. Need to soul search - I love this car.

Interesting that the dealer is torquing the Variocam bolts, mine would only swap the whole assembly out. Took 3 months to get parts from Germany.

Indeed interesting, as I've been told by both dealers and race teams that they are not designed to be re torqued, but rather replaced. In fact, there are no torque specs available for this very reason.

Not to mention it's a pretty big bill to change them out.

LOL. Normally i'd complain about RS prices being worse than our housing market prices. But since I just bought one for $150K a few weeks ago (CPO'ed and no over-revs), I hope you get what your asking for!

You don't need to soul search, you need to search for a sucker (whoops buyer) to take it off your hands!

If he gets the coolant lines, oil cooler lines, and 4.0 clutch, and new actuators - then his car is about a perfect as it can get. Worry free RS at that point.

What is the issue with oil cooler lines?

Haha @Shizzle. For what it's worth on price, car is fully optioned with PCCB's, etc. and the price is what had been previously offered.

Car is also Canadian. Price makes it easier for me to keep

I had Walter's Porsche replace those with the Sharkswerks ones when the engine was out to replace the power steering lines. They charged me 1.5 hours of labor for the work.

Glad you got resolution. Keep it. Market is not $180 in Canada.

they should have picked up on this when they found the car.

(this is why i hate software, especially on a warranty car....)
