Default Spa/Ring

Anyone know where I can find more information on private days at Spa or the Ring where the track is closed to the public, but open to clubs? I did a public day at the Ring last year and won't ever do that again, way too scary. I want to do a Spa/Ring trip this year in a more controlled environment and am willing to pay more.

Thanks!

The mix of families on vacation, amateurs, pros, and manufactures -- all on the track at once, all driving at different speeds and on different lines -- leads to a completely unpredictable dynamic. When you have no idea what the people in front and behind you are going to do, it is scary and dangerous. And (at least when I was there) the 3 serious, nasty accidents proved it out.

Manthey are doing their annual 80 car only track day on the 24th Sept, not cheap but looks an epic day.

http://www.rent4ring.de/en/info/trac...rack-days.html

I did a trackday which allowed race cars too [some don't] and that had its scary/humbling/eye-opening moments too.

Mostly do SPA with Bookatrack and Goldtrack. Next one in September with Circuit Days.

Here is the Calendar for 2014.

checkout RMA Trackdays in the UK, and RSRNurburg for private days at Spa.

Of course Porsche Sport Driving School also I believe have one event at Spa and one at the Ring...

As others have mentioned Manthey has a customer day which is epic ... and there is BMW farhrer trainings too

Scuderia Hanseat is another Ring group May/Sept

Curbstone are supposed to be very good days for Spa with low numbers. Bookatrack/goldtrack/RMA are regularly used by the UK guys (and you get a rather interesting briefing with RMA too! . )

I was lucky when I was on the Ring. It' was November and sleeting. That kept the bikes off the track, thank god. I followed an ADAC Porsche Cup car for the line. It was so slippery that I was able to keep up with him, no problem. Meanwhile, back at the bar, the bartendress regaled my wife of all the people who were here one minute and then dead on the track, the next. What a day.
